2. Semi-automatic barista espresso machine

A traditional espresso machine that needs someone to grind, tamp and steam the milk. It makes great coffee in trained hands, but in an office it usually depends on one volunteer barista and becomes inconsistent when that person is busy or on leave.

3. Capsule coffee machine

Simple and small, and suited to very small teams. Running costs climb over time, the drinks menu is limited, and the capsules create a lot of waste.

4. Cashless self-serve coffee machine (Coffee ATM)

It depends on the machine type, its capacity and whether you buy or subscribe. With a Coffee Star monthly subscription there is no machine to buy: the machine, beans, refills, cleaning and maintenance are covered by one transparent monthly fee. What is an automatic barista coffee machine?

Which coffee machine suits an office of 20, 50 or 100 people?
