Puro buys its coffee from Fairtrade cooperatives. Farmers get a fair price, plus an extra amount for schools, reforestation and farm improvements. All three coffees on this page are Fairtrade and shade grown.
Puro Origen comes from one cooperative in Santa Teresa, western Honduras. The cooperative supports projects in wastewater cleaning, composting and training for young people.
Part of every sale goes to buying and protecting rainforest reserves in the countries where the coffee grows. Puro does this with the World Land Trust, an international conservation charity that funds partner organisations to create reserves.
The beans are roasted in Belgium by Miko, a family-owned roaster dating from 1801. Miko turned to office and catering coffee in 1972, and launched Puro in 2005. You can order the beans together with your tea and pantry supplies.

One country, one cooperative. Catuai and Lempira arabica grown at 1,250 to 1,600 metres in Honduras. Fruity and citrus-bright, with a spicy edge and a clean finish.

Is Puro coffee Fairtrade?
Yes. Puro buys from Fairtrade cooperatives, and Origen, Noble and Fuerte are all Fairtrade and shade grown. Origen is also organic.
Who roasts Puro coffee?
Puro is roasted in Belgium by Miko, a family-owned coffee roaster dating from 1801. Miko launched the Puro Fairtrade brand in 2005.
Which Puro coffee suits my office?
Puro Noble suits most offices: mild, smooth, and good black or with milk. If your team mostly drinks lattes, choose Puro Fuerte. For espresso and black coffee, Puro Origen is a fruity single origin.
