KUALA LUMPUR, 27 February 2025 — Three men, three companies, three countries, and a black agreement folder in each pair of hands. The photograph was taken at the signing of the Puro Coffee Saudi Arabia partnership agreement. On the right, in a grey jacket over a purple Coffee Star T-shirt, stood Raja Ahmad Fauzan, the company’s founder and chief executive.

With him were Ronny Kiekens of Puro Coffee, from Belgium, and Saqer Al-Qarni of Alkeyf Ibtikar, from Saudi Arabia. The partnership brought Coffee Star together with the Belgian coffee company and a Saudi partner.

Bernama carried the news on its BernamaBiz service on the evening of 27 February 2025. Its headline framed the deal as a strategic alliance to take Coffee Star into Saudi Arabia, and the item was tagged with the names Coffee Star, Fario Holdings and Raja Ahmad Fauzan.

Coffee Star published its own account of the deal in releases issued in English and Bahasa Malaysia on 26 and 27 February. They presented the agreement as the Malaysian company’s route into Saudi Arabia, shared with partners from Europe and the Middle East.

Today, Coffee Star runs Auto-Baristas at more than 114 locations across Malaysia. On 24 September 2026 it launched its fully managed Office Coffee Service at MIHAS 2026.
